You should have received an email with these instructions when you purchased EasyRecipe Plus but sometimes emails get delayed or go astray, so here’s the installation instructions:

Download the plugin

The first thing you need to do is download the Plus version of the plugin. You should receive an email with a download link within a few minutes of purchasing.

Then you need to install the plugin on your server. There are two ways to do this:

Method 1

  • Log in to the admin on your blog
  • From the WordPress Dashboard, go to Plugins
  • Select Add New
  • Click on Upload
  • Browse to the file you just downloaded and click Install Now
  • WordPress should handle the rest
  • Activate EasyRecipe Plus
  • If you have the free version of EasyRecipe installed, you can deactivate and then delete it once you're satisfied the plus version is working OK

Method 2

  • Download the plugin to your computer
  • Unzip the file to a directory on your computer
  • Upload the entire easyrecipeplus directory that was created on your computer to the wp-content/plugins/ directory on your server
  • Log in to the admin on your blog
  • Click on Plugins
  • Activate EasyRecipe Plus
  • If you have the free version of EasyRecipe installed, you can deactivate and then delete it once you're satisfied the plus version is working OK

Important: If you use Safari on a Mac…

You may need to change the download settings in Safari before you download. You can read how at http://support.easyrecipeplugin.com/knowledge-base/downloading-easyrecipe-plus-on-a-mac/

Install your license key

Your license key unlocks automatic updates and gives you access to priority support

To install it, click on EasyRecipe in the admin dashboard sidebar menu.
Enter your key into the Licence Key field – don’t forget to “Save” your settings!

Remove the free version

It’s not strictly necessary to do this but there’s no reason to keep the free version of EasyRecipe installed once you've successfully installed and activated the Plus version. To delete the free version, go to the WordPress Plugins page, find EasyRecipe (not EasyRecipe Plus!) and click Deactivate. Once it's been deactivated, you can click Delete.  Deleting the free version will not affect any of your existing recipes and as long as you have already activated the Plus version, you won’t lose any of your custom settings.
